The students of St. Karen's Secondary School's Eco Club had an enriching excursion to Kamala Nehru Shishu Vihar in Patliputra Colony. During this educational outing, they had the unique opportunity to explore a wide array of seeds and eco-friendly creations crafted from recycled materials. This event was expertly organized by Taru Mitra and Prakritik, and it was graced by notable individuals such as Mr. Sanjay Kumar, renowned as the "Sparrow Man of Bihar," Mr. Nishant Ranjan, the Head of Environmental Warriors in Patna, and Ms. Devopriya Mukherji, recognized as the "Lungs of Patna."
The primary goal of this excursion was to instill a sense of eco-consciousness in the children and motivate them to embrace eco-friendly products, all while fostering a deeper understanding of the importance of nature. The students absorbed a wealth of knowledge during their visit, discovering innovative practices such as creating natural scrubbers from brinjal and crafting soap from cow dung, among other environmentally sustainable techniques.
