Father Tony Pednath welcomed us with a informative lecture on the flora and fauna of the region. He explained the importance of conservation and the aims of Taru Mitra, which include preserving biodiversity, promoting sustainable living, and educating communities.
We were amazed by the diverse species present, including medicinal plants, fruit trees, and ornamental flowers. Debopriya Ma'am enlightened us about the remarkable work done by Taru Mitra, including afforestation programs, wildlife conservation, and eco-friendly initiatives.
We learned that several schools have joined hands with Taru Mitra, sharing the motto of saving nature and promoting environmental awareness. The organization's efforts have inspired many to take action towards sustainability.
Next, we embarked on a tour of the green world, exploring the lush gardens and learning about the various plant species. Father Tony Pednath even prepared Hibiscus tea for us, showcasing the uses of natural resources.
The visit concluded with a meaningful gesture - students purchased plants and vowed to save nature, taking the first step towards contributing to environmental conservation.
