St. Karen`s Secondary school today felicitated.
School director D.P. Galstaun presented medals and certificates to the students and appreciated their efforts and hard work. The School also felicitated 22 students who brought laurels in extra-curricular activities.
While addressing the students, Galstaun urged them to excel in their fields and stressed one has to work hard to be successful. He also underlined the importance of self-confidence, determination, maintaining a timetable, and having one`s goal set in order to achieve success.
He also asked students to be responsible citizens and contribute to the community and society. “There is no dearth of talent but the need of the hour is right motivation, proper guidance and hard work,” he added.
School principle K.K. Kunjachan congratulated the student and said “It’s just the beginning. You have to reach the pinnacle of success.” He also asked the present class 12 batch to learn from their seniors and make their parents and school proud.
Sumeet (Science Stream) was the school topper with 95.8% followed by Shashank (94%). Saurav and Hritambhara jointly finished 3rd with 93.6%.
“The principle, teachers and my seniors helped me a lot. My teachers motivated me to study from NCERT books, which are, however not enough to clear competitive examinations”, He said.
Sonam, a medical aspirant, said: “I had a wonderful time with my friends and teachers. I have studied in this school from nearly 10 years and it’s very painful to leave the campus. Whatever I have learnt at the school will always remain with me.”
