As 2023 has been declared the year of millets ,a Kitchen Science Activity was conducted for students of std 6 to 10 on 12.4.23 in the science period. The students had to research on millets like Banyard millet , Amaranth , Barley , Finger Millet ,Little millet etc . about where is it grown in India ,the type of soil needed ,it’s nutrients, how is it beneficial for us , how to include in our diet etc.It was conducted by the science teachers and students were made to share the information in the class with each other. It increased their awareness about the millets and their benefits.
