St. Karen’s School recently hosted its highly anticipated Annual Function, "Symphony Stars," celebrating over 650 talented students in a spectacular showcase of culture, creativity, and unity. The theme of the event, "One World, One Family" highlighted the importance of global harmony and interconnectedness.
The event began with the Lighting of the Lamp, followed by a Welcome Address from the Principal, who shared the school's progress and achievements. Dr. Maya Shankar, the Chief Guest, delivered an inspiring address on the power of education and cultural exchange.
Rhythms of Reverence, a vibrant dance performance, featured traditional dances from various cultures, including Manipur, Bihar, Maharashtra, Gujrat, Jharkhand, Odisha and West Bengal. Mr. D.P. Galstaun, Director of St. Karen’s Group of Schools, praised the students' accomplishments and the school’s holistic approach to education.
Other performances included Nature's Ballet across Cultures, with Kashmiri, Hawaiian, and Peacock dances, and a Dramatic Sketch, showcasing student creativity. The Cultural Harvest Fiesta brought energetic Bhangra and Bihu dances, while Unity in Motion fused African, Flamenco, and Puppet dances.
The grand finale emphasized strength and unity, leaving the audience inspired. The event concluded with the message of reminding all of the power of global togetherness, followed by the National Anthem. Parents and guests were truly moved by the students' performances, reflecting the spirit of "One World, One Family."
